1. Who We Are
ArbeidMatch (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Norwegian recruitment and staffing company, providing both permanent recruitment and temporary staffing (personnel leasing) services
across Norway and the European Union.
We recruit, assess, present and, where applicable, employ candidates on behalf of our clients, managing the entire process end-to-end in full compliance with:

Norwegian labour legislation,

EU/EEA regulations, and
-
the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We act as an independent data controller for candidate and client data processed through our systems.

2. Personal Data We Collect and Where It Is Stored
Candidate data
We may process the following categories of candidate data:

Identification and contact details (name, address, phone number, email)

CVs, cover letters, diplomas, certificates and references
-
Work history, skills, qualifications and availability

Preferences related to job type, location and mobility

Any additional information you voluntarily choose to provide
Client (company) data
For our corporate clients, we may process:

Company name, registration number and address

Contact persons (name, phone number, email)

Information related to job requirements, contracts, assignments and invoicing
Data storage and systems
All personal data is registered and processed in RecMan, our professional Applicant Tracking System (ATS), which is used to manage recruitment, staffing and employment processes.
RecMan is fully GDPR-compliant and applies robust technical and organizational security measures, including:

strict access controls,
-
logging and auditing,
-
encrypted data storage.
All data is currently stored within the European Economic Area (EEA).
Should a transfer outside the EEA ever become necessary, it will only take place using legally approved safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission.
3. Your Right to Delete Your Data at Any Time
As a candidate, you retain full control over your personal data.
Through your personal RecMan account, you may at any time:

review, update or correct your information,
-
withdraw consent for specific processing activities,
-
permanently delete your profile and all associated personal data, without providing any justification.
Deletion is immediate, except for data we are legally required to retain under applicable laws.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your data is processed strictly for legitimate and defined purposes, including:

evaluating qualifications and professional suitability,
-
presenting candidates to relevant employers,
-
preparing employment contracts or commercial agreements,
-
fulfilling legal, tax and employment obligations,
-
sending relevant job opportunities only where consent has been given,
-
complying with mandatory reporting to public authorities (e.g. Arbeidstilsynet, NAV).
All final recruitment and hiring decisions are made by qualified human personnel. We do not rely on automated decision-making for final employment outcomes.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on one or more of the following legal grounds:

Performance of a contract – to carry out recruitment, staffing or employment activities,
-
Legal obligations – including accounting, reporting and employment law requirements,
-
Legitimate interest – to operate securely, efficiently and to prevent misuse or fraud,
-
Explicit consent – where required, such as for marketing communication or processing of certain data categories.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share personal data only with:

our corporate clients (employers), as part of a recruitment or staffing process,
-
trusted service providers and contractual partners (e.g. RecMan AS), under strict Data Processing Agreements (DPAs),
-
public authorities, where disclosure is required by law.
We never sell personal data.
7. Data Retention

Candidate data is stored for up to 12 months from the last documented activity (e.g. profile update, login, interview).

If you delete your profile yourself, all data is erased immediately, except for information subject to statutory retention requirements.

Client data is stored for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter in accordance with legal archiving obligations.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
You have the right to:

access your personal data,

request correction or updates,
-
request deletion (via RecMan or by contacting us),
-
restrict or object to certain processing activities,
-
withdraw consent at any time,
-
request data portability.

ArbeidMatch’s services are intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data relating to minors.
