1. Who we are

ArbeidMatch (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Norwegian company specialized in recruitment and staffing (temporary leasing of personnel), operating throughout Norway and the EU. We recruit, select and employ candidates on behalf of our clients, handling all related processes in full compliance with labor laws and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Candidate data

  • Name, address, phone number, email

  • CV, cover letters, diplomas, references

  • Work experience, skills, availability

  • Preferences regarding work location and mobility

  • Other information you voluntarily provide

Client data (companies)

  • Company name, registration number, address

  • Contact persons (name, phone, email)

  • Information about job requirements, contracts and invoicing

Where data is stored

Your data is registered and managed in our professional Applicant Tracking System (ATS), RecMan, which we use to administer the entire recruitment and employment process.
RecMan is fully GDPR-compliant, ensuring rigorous security measures, access control, and auditing. Currently, your data is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA). Should we ever transfer data outside the EEA, we will implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) approved by the European Commission.

3. Your right to delete your data at any time

As a candidate, you have the ability to log in to your personal RecMan account and:

  • update or correct your personal information,

  • withdraw consent for specific processing activities,

  • fully delete your profile and all associated data at any time, without any additional formalities.

4. How we use your data

  • To evaluate qualifications and professional suitability according to our clients’ needs

  • To present you to our partnering employers

  • To prepare individual employment contracts or commercial agreements

  • To fulfill legal and tax obligations

  • To send you tailored job opportunities (only with your consent)

  • To comply with mandatory reporting to authorities (e.g. Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet), NAV)

All final hiring and selection decisions are made by our qualified human staff, ensuring a responsible and fair evaluation.

5. Legal grounds for processing

  • Performance of a contract: to carry out recruitment and employment activities.

  • Legal obligations: including accounting requirements and reporting to public authorities.

  • Legitimate interest: to ensure safe and efficient operations and prevent fraud.

  • Explicit consent: where required, for example for direct marketing or processing sensitive data.

6. Who we may share your data with

  • Our corporate clients (employers) as part of the recruitment process

  • Our contractual partners (e.g. RecMan AS for the ATS system), with whom we have strict data processing agreements (DPAs) in line with GDPR

  • Public authorities if required by law

7. How long we store your data

  • Candidate data is stored in RecMan for up to 12 months from your last documented activity (such as updating your profile, attending an interview, or logging in).

  • If you delete your profile yourself in RecMan, all data is immediately removed, except for data we are legally required to retain.

  • Client data is stored as long as there is a contractual relationship and thereafter according to statutory archiving obligations.

8. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data,

  • request correction or updating,

  • request deletion (either directly via your RecMan account or by contacting us),

  • restrict or object to certain types of processing,

  • withdraw any consent you have given,

  • request data portability to another controller.

We use cookies to:

  • ensure the proper functioning of our website (e.g. login, sessions),

  • customize your experience and — with your explicit consent — for marketing purposes.

10. Notification of security incidents

In the unlikely event we identify a security breach that could affect your data, we will promptly inform you in accordance with applicable law.

11. About minors

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
